Built-in dual M.2 SSD slots, support Synology SSD cache technology, and can improve system I/O and application performance. The expandable capacity design, with the Synology DX517, allows you to expand your storage capacity step by step.

Creating a cache can speed up I/O response time by 20 times without occupying a front hard drive bay. With the Synology DX517 expansion, five hard drives can be expanded to obtain more storage capacity.
